Chromium Zirconium Copper Covered Electrode

Chromium Zirconium Copper Covered Electrode

Introduction

Chromium zirconium copper covered electrode is kind of rod in the junction of the welded workpiece during gas welding or spot welding and directly determines the quality and properties of welding seam.

Function

Chromium zirconium copper covered electrode consists of steel welding core and coating. The chromium zirconium copper coating will decompose or molten and form gas and slag. It plays a role in mechanical protection, metallurgical processing and process improvement. The coating functions as follow:
1. Improve the stability of arc burning;
2. Protect the welding pool;
3. Ensure the removal of oxide, sulfur and other impurities in welding seam;
4. Supplement the alloy elements to welding seam;
5. Improving the welding productivity and reducing the spattering.

Selection

When the electrode of the selection should pay attention to the following aspects:
1. Consider that the mechanical properties and chemical composition of welding metal;
2. Consider that the use of performance and working conditions of welded components;
3. Consider that the characteristics of welded structures and stress conditions;
4. Consider that the construction conditions as well as cost-effectiveness.
