Chromium Zirconium Copper Cold Roll
Introduction
Chromium zirconium copper cold roll is that mainly used in calendered film, tape coater or finished roll to reduce the deformation caused by thermal or cooling contraction. That is, decrease the temperature by cold roll to reduce the deformation of the material before rolling.
Process
Conventional chromium zirconium copper cooling roll production process is to use vacuum induction furnace melting metal ingot casting, chromium, and zirconium oxide easily and loss occurs in the smelting process, resulting in chemical composition can not be effectively controlled. And internal ingot prone to porosity, shrinkage, slag, the outer surface is prone to cold shuts, peeling, sticky sand and other defects. Although small defects and external defects can be compensated by turning and forging process, after the roller thermal expansion, the original loose point reappears. Based on continuous study, the relevant researchers found that ESR (Electroslag Remelting) method can effectively solve this drawback, and the specific process is: Casting → Electroslag Casting → Hot forging → Solution heat treatment → Cold forging → Aging → Machining. It can effectively remove the shrinkage, porosity, slag and other defects in conventional casting process.
Application
Chromium zirconium copper cold roll can be widely used in plastic film, paper printing, food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, solar cells and liquid crystal displays and other industries in the production and processing of high-performance film. Due to its unique roll body design and advanced heat exchange technology, the cooling water do not contact with the roll surface directly, which can keep the temperature uniform on the roll surface and effectively prevent the condensation problems at the both ends of roll.
