Tungsten Copper W85 Rod
Introduction
Tungsten copper W85 rod is composed of 85% W and 15% Cu, its density reaches(15.90g/cm3), hardness more than HB240, electric conductivity is 38%IACS, softening temperature is ≥900℃, thermal conductivity coefficient is between 180-200 (wm/k) and the coefficient of expansion is 7.0-7.5 (10-6k).
Characteristic
Tungsten copper W85 rod manufactured by PM (Powder Metallurgy) and has excellent thermal, electrical conductivity, high-temperature strength and plasticity, which is a kind of heat sink materials. In addition, it should be noticed that adjust the parameters when tungsten copper discharging or wire cutting, and the speed is lower than other materials. To avoid contacting with strong acid and alkali before electroplating and it will cause the metal grain shedding.
Application
Tungsten copper W85 materials play an important role in military field. It can not only be used as rocket, missile and other components with high temperature and high-speed airflow ablation, such as gas vane, spray tube, throat insert, nose cone, but also can be used as EFP linear of armor piercing, nozzle of range-extended, orbit material for electromagnetic gun. With the development of aerospace industry, the requirement of tungsten copper used for high-temperature will remarkably increasing, so it has higher demands for tungsten copper materials quality, especially the strength and ablation performance under high pressure and high temperature.
