What is Tungsten Copper
Copper tungsten alloy integrates the advantages of tungsten and copper, within which tungsten's melting point is higher( about 3410 ℃) and density is larger (about 19.34g/cm3). Copper has good electro conductivity, so tungsten copper alloy (ingredients range from Wcu7-Wcu50) whose micro-structure is even and it is high temperature resistance, high intensity, and large intensity. As tungsten copper has appropriate electro conductivity and heat-conductivity, so it is widely used in high temperature-resistance material, electrician alloy used in high voltage switch, electronic processing electrode, and micro-electronic material.
Tungsten Copper Process
CIP (Cold Isostatic Pressing) – High temperature sintering (W skeleton) – Cu infiltration
Tungsten Copper Application
Tungsten Copper – EDM electrode
Tungsten copper EDM rod has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, arc erosion resistance and high material removal rate. Especially for tungsten carbide, high-temperature hard alloy mold manufacturing has remarkable performance.
Tungsten Copper – high voltage discharging tube electrode
Tungsten copper rod for discharge tube uses high purity W and Cu powder by isostatic pressing, high-temperature sintering, infiltration, which has excellent conductivity and arc erosion resistance.
Tungsten Copper – heat sink
Tungsten copper not only has low CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion) of W, but also has high thermal conductivity of Cu, which can improve the performance by adjusting the contents of material.
